Fuzzy Stuff!

Hot off the needles! I just finished this hat from a pattern I found in the pattern a day calendar my friend gave me as a gift. The pattern is for February 8th, 2007. I added the little braided tassels for extra cuteness. I'm not sure if this is a hat for me or someone else. It ended up being the right size for me. If I gift this hat it will be to someone with a large cabeza, like mine.

I've finished a couple of new projects. Here are "Fuzzy Feet" I made for my daughter. The second picture is of the absolutely gigantic slippers unfelted. The first picture shows how they look now that they have been felted. I'm not sure the pictures show the huge difference in size, but the Fuzzy Feet are much thicker after being felted.

Giving credit where credit is due

I realize I didn't give the sources for the patterns I used. The scarf and sock patterns are from Knitsimple (Winter 2006/07). The pattern for the caps is at the Save the Children website: http://www.warmupamerica.org/home.html The project is a low-tech strategy to prevent new-born deaths in developing countries. More than 2 million newborns die within the first 24 hours of life. Read more about the charity caps at the website :)

New FO's

Although I just learned to knit a few months ago, I'd still like to post a few finished objects. I'm finding a great deal of satisfaction seeing projects in completed form. Thanks for your interest!
